A spicy and different fusion spaghetti sauce recipe, taking advantage of exotic ingredients such as coconut milk and curry spices. This recipe as presented here with 3 Thai red chilies will have a bit of a bite, naturally it will be entirely up to you to adjust this quantity for a hotter or milder dish. This recipe is easy and quick to make, enjoy!

* 1 lb. tagliatelle (fresh pasta if available)
* 1 tablespoon butter
* 12 peeled large shrimp, tail left on
* 1/4 cup whiskey
* 1/2 inch Fresh ginger
* 3 small red Thai chillies, seeded
* 1 cup half-half cream
* 1/2 cup coconut milk
* Salt and pepper
* 2 tablespoons curry
* 1 teaspoon turmeric

Cooking instructions:

1) If you have fresh pasta, they will cook very quickly (2 minutes), so we better start by making the sauce.

In a skillet, heat a little bit of butter, cook the shrimp about 2 minutes, or a little more depending on shrimp size, until done then take them out and reserve. Deglaze with the whiskey, add cream and coconut milk, heat over low heat.

2) Add the chopped Thai peppers, seeded and finely chopped, the finely minced fresh ginger, curry spices and turmeric. Mix well, adjust seasoning if necessary. Simmer for a few minutes so the alcohol evaporates, then reduce heat setting. Keep warm.

3) Cook the pasta in plenty of boiling salted water, drain when cooked al dente. Mix the pasta into the sauce and serve immediately; divide the pasta among the two plates, pour the sauce over then arrange nicely the shrimp over the tagliatelle.
